I concur, MayMay. Cory is the best! What a great idea! I find focusing on the positive and the future without all this stuff to be very inspiring.

That is exactly why Cory is my number one crush and favorite extreme cleaner! :D

Sally,

These weekly tasks are just extra motivational tasks.
Along with us keeping up on our daily maintenance tasks like dishes, laundry and getting the kitchen trash out.
And at the same time trying to reduce the amount of possessions we bring in as we try to reduce the amount of possessions we already have in our homes.
While Cory is busy every day helping people in their homes to get uncluttered he sees things that need special attention.
Especially in the quality of our lives. Like a passion for living, doing those things that bring true wealth into our lives.
He is also very concerned with our health and safety. Remember that most all accidents occur in our homes and not elsewhere while we are out.

But you need and want a more decluttering and cleaning thread.
That is why we have made the daily chat. :D
A place for people to ask for specific personally made help.
So please just keep asking away and we will do all we can do help you get the life you so deserve.
And you do not seem ungrateful at all. :)

Sincerely, Tillie

I am actually needing cleaning tasks, because i need to get the heater guy in. I will go back and look at past weeks.

I was hoping by getting tasks assigned to me 2 a week over the course of a year I could work on 104 spots, and my house should be in better shape.

I don't think though that cleaning email or how will this improve my life will really move me forward in that manner.

I hope I am not seeming too ungrateful, but I need to get my house cleaned up

Happy Saturday, we made it through another week!

I have a challenge for you that will be a mental challenge, not a physical cleaning challenge. When I work with people I try to find ways to get them excited about the thought of cleaning up their homes. We can't expect our minds to be happy about doing something difficult, its just not programmed that way. But when there is a reward for hard work, it sure makes it easier.

If you are part of our support group you already know I am a big believer in finding your motivation to get you through the cleanup effort and process. So todays assignment is simply..."Finding My Motivation".

I want each of you to get out a piece of paper or your computer and write down what you miss out of your life since the clutter started. This does not include anything that might have actually triggered the hoard, but rather things you have lost out of life after the hoarding started. What passion have you lost out of life? What joy did you used to get and how? Do you wish you could have a room completely set up to do crafts, play music, etc? Do you miss your family sitting around the dinner table?

Almost everyone I have worked with through the past 17 years has missed out on so much, and this assignment is to remind us what we are passionate about in life, and what we have traded in for "stuff". This is going to be your motivation to find the strenght inside of you when things get tough, or your are just having a bad day.

This list of your lifes passion should be hung up and posted where you will see it every day, to remind yourself, you are worth more than meaningless clutter. It is to help motivate you when you are struggling to let go, that in order to move forward, we must let go of the past. Too many people are holding onto the memories, which are completely stopping them from making new memories for the future. Find your passion folks, each and everyone of us have it inside us. If we don't find it, we will never truly be happy.

Have a great weekend everyone and if you want to share your thoughts on your own passion, please post a reply :)
